How to get a purchase order for a prosthesis

Prostheses belong to the group of the most demanding (tertiary) medical devices.

A team of experts at URI SOČA is authorized to prescribe this type of device at the expense of the ZZZS: a specialist physiatrist, a graduate engineer in orthotics and prosthetics, and a graduate physiotherapist. The team leader is a doctor.

Regardless of the regulation, the user can choose the manufacturer of the accessory from among the authorized contractors, even outside URI SOČA.

We are authorized and have a contract for the supply of the most demanding accessories with ZZZS.

If you want us to make a prosthesis for you, ask for an order form for MP in your hands at the prescription.

Prescription and installation of the first prosthesis takes place at the prosthetics department of URI Soča (provisions of ZZZS), where the entire rehabilitation after limb amputation is arranged, including the walking school. For the manufacture of your first prosthesis, you have the right to choose the dipl.ing.ort.prot., or the company that will manufacture your prosthesis, even if you are placed in the department, but of course you must inform the doctor who will prescribe you the prosthesis immediately upon admission. Eligibility, sustainability period, standard of the device is determined by ZZZS in the Rules of Compulsory Health Insurance. An authorized doctor issues a "MEDICAL DEVICE ORDER" to the patient, which is the basis for the manufacture of a prosthesis to be covered by compulsory insurance.

As a self-payer, you do not need a prescription from an authorized doctor.
